Battery exchange for FoxSonic, FoxRadar and FoxPressure

STEP 1/4

Open casing

Using a Phillips screwdriver, first open all 6 screws of the device.

STEP 2/4

Replace batteries

Now lift off the lid of the device and replace the old batteries with new AA batteries.

STEP 3/4

Reattaching  the circuit board

If the circuit board has been detached from the device when replacing the batteries, make sure that it is correctly snapped back into place. Check that the board cannot be turned sideways.

STEP 4/4

Screwing the lid back on

When screwing the lid back on, it is best to use a torque spanner with 0.3 Nm set. If there is no more gap between the cover and the housing it is tight enough. Screwing crosswise is important.

Battery exchange for FoxHall

Important information before you start:
  • Do not open the unit in an explosive environment.
  • Battery replacement may only be carried out by trained personnel outside the Ex area.
  • When replacing the batteries, only the battery type "Energizer Ultimate Lithium L91 FR6" may be used.
STEP 1/4

Open casing

Using a screwdriver, first open all 6 screws of the FoxHall. You will find the screws on the bottom of the case.

STEP 2/4

Replace batteries

Now lift off the lid and remove the circuit board carefully so as to not damage the connected cables. Carefully replace the batteries.

STEP 3/4

Reattaching  the circuit board

When inserting the circuit board, make sure that the red element is in the direction of the magnet indication on the outside of the housing and the two small cutouts of the board are placed correctly.

Screwing the lid back on

When screwing the lid back on, make sure that the window for the numerical display is correctly aligned. It is best to use a torque spanner with 0.3 Nm set. If there is no more gap between the cover and the housing it is tight enough. Screwing crosswise is important.

Battery exchange for OilFox 1

STEP 1/4

Open casing

There are small holes opposite each other on the sides of the OilFox 1. Poke the small holes with a pointed object (e.g. a bruise clip). This will loosen the lid and you can remove it.

STEP 2/4

Remove battery

Turn the OilFox 1 over and carefully let the battery fall out.

STEP 3/4

Replace battery

Now insert a new CR123A battery. Please note that the smooth side (negative pole) of the battery is visible from above.

STEP 4/4

Close lid

Now put the lid back on the OilFox 1 and make sure it clicks into place.
